Being a native of the great state of Texas, I appreciate good value for my hard-earned money. The hotel's convenient location to the lake was a plus, making it easy to find. However, the room was far too hot, even after turning off the radiator. Mr Potter, the owner, could invest in a more energy-efficient heating system to reduce the carbon footprint of the hotel. The free WiFi was a nice touch, but charging for parking at a different property seemed unnecessary. The indoor swimming pool and spa & wellness centre were a welcome retreat after a long day of exploring the area, but the continental breakfast left much to be desired. Overall, while the location was convenient, the hotel could benefit from some updates to justify the cost. As a budget-conscious traveler with a taste for luxury, I would recommend considering other options for your stay.
